Can one of the ucsf kids elaborate?

stop being nosy

How is this nosy?  Was it a clinical competency issue?  Was it a malignant environment forcing him out?  I realize it is a less than desirable subject for those involved to discuss, but allegations of him being fired are a little concerning.

its known to be malignant but simultaneously the best training program in the country. The resident probably gassed out. It's difficult to make judgments on a program based on one person.
Really? Seems to be the purpose of this board.

People here with no experience with UCSF call it malignant because Berger might not be the most personable neurosurgeon they've met. He's not the friendliest guy in the world, sure. He has extraordinarily high expectations of people in his department, is a bit terse, but is overall a pleasant guy who looks out for his own.

You literally just described a malignant person.  Sure, he has your back if you're in the family, but you pay the price.

Not really because it's not like they took an extra person? The culture of that program is well known
