typically any place that has an open vascular surgeon >50 y.o. who was never endovascular trained. Also places that have CAST-accredited open CV fellowships.

Some programs like UVA, Penn and Penn State have 6mo to a year rotations to Australia or New Zealand where the management paradigm leans heavily towards open versus endovascular

UCSF. 1-4 open aneurysms a week as well as 1-3 open AVMs.

I mean GS does a lot of STAMCA, but otherwise Stanford does not do much.  Likewise, as the resident, you will be watching.
