ABNS Scores and Percentiles
#1
I hear residents talk about scores in 300ish or 400ish zone, but they don't talk about percentiles. Any good estimation for percentiles from raw scores? What is the raw score cutoff to pass?

I believe about a 280 was passing this year. I think 50th percentile was somewhere in the mid to high 400s? Cant quite remember. I passed and forgot abot the whole bunch of bollox.

I believe its always curved so that a score of 500 represents the 50th percentile and then every 100 points is 1 standard deviation from the mean.

for the 2017 reference group 50th percentile was 560, 680 was 84th percentile, 460 was 15th percentile,

so not exactly mean of 500 with std dev of 100, but that is pretty close, mean of 560 with increments of 120 for a standard deviation going up and 100 for a standard deviation going down. Not sure why they changed it from prior years
