Except when these departures occur to a direct competitor, across the street, and to an institution that is clearly a step down in reputation/academic prestige. That's usually a sign of discontent with your prior job.

A university-based academic program is long overdue in Phoenix.  Will probably be a solid program, but not before at least 5 years.
