I'm not getting interviews at places where I have connections and advocates and instead getting interviews at random and sometimes better places. Here's hoping there are multiple batches

There is definitely some fraud in this match cycle. I'm suing the programs that didn't invite me to make them right their wrongs.

Last night I was leading, often solidly, in many key Programs, in almost all instances out of my league & home region. Then, one by one, they started to magically disappear as surprise invite dumps were released. VERY STRANGE!

Is there anyone who has not received any interviews yet? Or am I the only one...  

Applying from a top tier medical school with a good amount of research (~60 total publications/abstracts/presentations etc.) and letters (I think), but it's been crickets...People I know have been getting interviews left and right, and I'm trying to not freak out but I'm definitely freaking out. I know it's still early but it's been really discouraging so far Anyone else?

Thanks for replying. It sucks but at least we're not alone in this. My scores are okay, nothing bling bling though. But I know people with similar scores who matched at their top choices last year and are getting 10+ interviews this cycle already...so I have no idea what's going on. I wish programs would be more transparent about how they're screening applicants and offering interviews, especially this cycle. It seems like the same 30-40 people are getting all the interviews, and the second wave will happen when they cancel at certain programs. But it's such a crazy year that I can't blame anyone for maximizing their chances. Truth is, everyone applying is qualified and would be great residents and colleagues. It's just crazy that this process is such a crapshoot. I'll definitely keep my fingers crossed for you and all of us applying this year.

Maybe your home program is planning to match you and indicated so in letters, leading to poor responsiveness elsewhere
