Phone call doesn't mean RTM. Some programs just say "you're ranked highly" to their top 10 in hopes of increasing the probability of getting those top 10. Doesn't mean that you're RTM. Also, don't know about other people who interviewed, but Mayo Rochester didn't exactly seem like the type of program that games the system by making RTM calls to their top 4. 1) They don't need to --> they'll probably get who they want, as as been said by other posters, and 2) a culture of manipulation doesn't really jive with the whole Mayo atmosphere and it's resident-oriented nature.
Rank highly is better than nothing ?
No, actually, a lot of people don’t know this but getting nothing is a lot better than getting a “ranked highly” phone call
I know the above post is sarcastic but I know of multiple ppl that have received contact from Mayo that have no intention of ranking them #1 lol. Top programs are all vying for the same applicants interviewing at all the top institutions, so don’t feel bad if you don’t hear anything.
Mayo MN? Wtf?

Are you saying the residents had complaints / issues?

I think admitting the issues is so much better. Loyola, Northwestern, and GW were open about their past and it definitely left me with a better impression than programs that are actively covering up their malignancy

Unlike UL.

Care to elaborate?

I don’t think it’s malignant anymore. 5-10 years ago they were in flux and had a decent amount of resident attrition. Seems to be a better environment now with Lam, Brandt, Potts, etc.

What happened at Loyola?
