You cannot be a halftime neurosurgeon. If you wanna do that, go do ortho spine. Simply not possible to be a neurosurgeon who follows up on your patient outcomes, clinics, etc and be half time. Unless you want to half ass things and do locums and pawn your crap off on others. Nature of the job. Sorry.

Above comment is asinine, of course you can. I know several who do, and they’re perfectly capable neurosurgeons who take good care of their patients. Locums makes it easy, often without much clinic requirement.
