I know them both because I rotated there for a sub-I. One is a recently graduated chief resident, and the other is a PGY-2. They are both fantastic and exceptionally humble, and likely have kicked ass to get to where they are today. You should realize that people have likely stopped judging you on you SAT score from high school, just like where you go to medical school means absolutely nothing when you go on to be a very successful neurosurgeon, regardless of where you came from.
