What's the real deal on callbacks? I haven't received any yet, should I be worried or do most programs opt to stay silent and just rank you as they see fit? Maybe we could get a thread going on schools that have done callbacks

In my opinion, such a thread might cause those schools to stop calling future applicants. Based on my experience and that of my colleagues, I would say <20% of programs called back.

i think it is maybe even less than 20%. FWIW I didn't get any calls from the program i matched at back in the day.
I think we should share info - program directors are sharing as much info as they can with each other, we as applicants should too. I haven't had any calls but I heard UCSF and Miami are active.
22 interviews, haven't heard anything...
I am also curious about whether the norm is to expect radio silence or to read between lines and get the hint if a program seems less than enthused about communication with you. I’ve heard from residents and applicants alike that some programs do actively recruit post-interview and pre-match, while others had no communication at all with the program they eventually matched to. I presume it’s simply a matter of institutional preference, but any insights from personal experience are welcome and appreciated.
For the record, I have received a couple of calls that I would consider to be from “interested programs.” That is in no way intended to be self-serving; merely helpful to others as anecdotal evidenced.
I interviewed at about 20 programs and havent heard from anywhere either.
So I am starting to get calls but I am also missing a lot of them going straight to voice mail. Most of them are "if you have any questions" kinda of deal. If we really don't have any more questions, is it fine to just not call back at this point?
19 interviews, no calls as well
