The ortho guys consider the best spine fellowship in the country to be Rothman but unfortunately Vaccaro and Hilibrand are not receptive to neurosurgeons.

Taking so many fellows and being in litigiousness NYC. Are his fellows getting operative experience or just a line on their cv?

He is a master of the cervical spine..... World-renowned and well respected by both neurosurgeons and ortho spine surgeons. The question is not if the Lenke fellowship is good or not, the question is if they will take you.

Spine will spin off as separate specialty in 5 years

I feel like the tumor/functional guys have to be efficient in spine too to meet ends meet. I can't see the dynamics of it. 7 years of resecting tumors does sound like excessive training also, as does 7 years of just doing lamis and screws.

The original claim was its the best fellowship. So if you think being taken by lenke to triple scrub is the best then more power to you
