I know nothing, and I'm sure Dr. Kalkanis and Dr. Lee are amazing surgeons, but can anyone explain to me why Dan Gilbert wouldn't choose to bring his son to some higher profile team of surgeons? I mean, he's a billionaire, he could probably go anywhere and get an appointment ASAP.
Because there's a value in recovering close to home with family and friends that outweighs the difference in technical skill of a better surgical team hundreds of miles away.
lol at the M1 who thinks the us news rankings is the end all be all of medical care
Most Experience with the procedure
This is hilarious. Dr. Kalkanis is one of the most respected tumor surgeons in the world, but because Henry Ford isn't in the top 10 on doximity you think he got sub-par care?
But if you stroke a patient out, it doesn't matter how nice their facilities are. I do agree that it does complement great operative skills.
