Dude the whole idea is that when you’re at a top program there are more famous people out there to vouch for you. Just do a research year at BNI or UCSF or Duke and work hard. Be productive and have people ready to vouch for you and you’ll be as good as a top Med school applicant. Several examples exist. Check our the intern at OHSU from a no name school. She did a UCSF research year and crushed the match
