Mayo's schedule is a mess. Committing to two full days without any formal programming going on in between what few interviews we have is just inefficient

agree with OP, 2 hours worth of interviewing spread across 2 days just wastes time for all involved

Didn't even realize it was just two hours cumulative. At least let us interact with some residents or check out some cases or something

Definitely unusual way to have done it and agree that it could have been more efficient. But in their defense, it's not exactly like you were stuck at your computer the whole time. I mean you could do stuff in the 2hr blocks between interviews. Also, you have to give it to them in that I think they were one of the few programs where every interview was 1-on-1 vs. the 3-4 on 1 that a lot of the programs did.

quality of interview matters. Mayo was the first interview day where someone was clearly typing patient notes while absent-mindedly asking questions (posed the same one twice and didn't even realize it). Some 4v1 interviews have been more engaging. But overall agree with above poster as their intent seemed to be geared toward reducing zoom fatigue

Seriously? Mayo's organization could be better but their interviews have been the chillest of any interview on the trail, surprised to see someone was so busy that they couldn't defer writing a note for a 10 min interview
