loma linda

I rotated at Cedars last year.

Sounds like they had serious issues back in the day, but the resident group I worked with last year seemed to be tight-knit, smart, good in the OR, etc.

Seemed better than originally advertised.

The whole situation at loma linda seems odd. Has anyone spoken with actual residents as to why it closed down? The residents seemed happy last year and it is surprising to hear that things were so bad they decided to implode their own program via ACGME reporting, as some have suggested (which did, on the other hand, definitely happen at Loyola)

Is Loyola on probation?  It looks like MCW is the only one listed on the ACGME website:

Specific to neurosurgery https://apps.acgme.org/ads/Public/Report...ialtyId=35

not presently. couple years back Loyola residents voiced grievances via ACGME. some residents left. some faculty were fired. all is well now.

Were they even enrolled in this year's match? I thought their program was closed and their residents went to continue training at other programs across the country.

Any updates on what's happening with the Loma Linda program? There was initially a person listed as matching there on the "Neurosurgery Match List" Google doc/spreadsheet; now, Loma Linda is no longer listed on that list. They also have an elective up on VSAS that's not yet open for applications.

Do you guys think someone should rotate there as a fourth year med student with hopes of matching there?

Is the guy who transferred from LLU still at BWH? Don’t see any foreign grads listed as residents on their website!
