Where’s the UVA info from? Hard to imagine Jane Jr. Leaving UVA. What else is going on there?

Talked to UVA contact. Jane. Jr. taking a chair job. Another chair from UVA. They were happy for him. One planned retirement of a non-academic faculty member. All else seemed good. They have already recruited a current Peds Neurosurgery chair for replacement. The PD was planned to turn over next year so coming a year early.

Jane leaving since UVA failed to invest in neuro and pit program

Peds recruit is part time and non-academic who is coming to Virginia to retire.  Others faculty looking to depart including whichever associate PD loses promotion

I always find the program targeting posts the most entertaining. It happens multiple times each year. The thing in common is either you didn't get an interview and looking to grind an axe or looking to improve your chances of matching by driving others away. Those of us that interviewed there can reach out directly to the program and separate fact from fiction or you can accept the word of an anonymous message board poster.
