Care to explain how it's malignant, or do we just call every program malignant in the beginning of a discussion for good measure?

Can anyone comment on the efficiency of day to day stuff?

I don't think it's malignant, but you'll work hard. There's some departmental politics, but in general the program is stabilizing and a good program. A couple of the attendings are very "hands-on" and you will not ever get to do anything significant in the OR on their cases.

BWH: Spine and trauma are a bit weak. Decent functional. Very strong vascular/tumor/skull base.
BCH: Workload can be stressful, strong operative experience across the board.

Just transitioned to EPIC last year, has had some hiccups but an upgrade from the old hybrid system. Turnover rate amongst nursing staff was high but seems to be retaining staff better recently. Not enough mid-levels so you will be expected to plug the gap doing scut work and taking care of issues that pop up.
