Vacation Requests

Thanks. I'm am incoming intern. I was just curious if it would be expected that I take all of my vacation, or if I should refrain in order to show dedication or something like that.

Do residents generally take their 2-4 week vacation allotment one week at a time? Or is there "pressure" to break it up into smaller chunks so you're not away as long?

Obviously depends on the program. As interns we get our entire vacation in a one-month block. After that, you get 4 one-week vacations spread out every 3 months.
