Matched last year. Wanted to float that there was talk last year at multiple schools that there may be a shift in the way that interviews are handled in relation to sub-is. It was found that multiple people were doing many many and specifically a few of the PDs mentioned here stated that coming back for an interview would not be a foregone conclusion. The idea is that giving a interview just because you rotated doesn’t make sense and is a waste if they don’t want you. I think you’re just seeing that sentiment being borne out, much to your dismay, during this interview season. We’re gonna become a little more like plastics and derm - ie they know exactly what they’re looking for before you walk in the door.
