Seeing all these interviews given out already is concerning me. I am still waiting on my first away letter and have 2 home letters submitted. Only have one interview so far. Should I just send a third home letter? I have an extra one. Stats 250+, 5+ pubs

How many programs did you apply to? The general thing is that with less than 3 letters your application is considered incomplete and many programs set that as a filter criterion (they only look at complete applications). So I would submit whatever you have to have 3 letters in.

Agreed.  Get a third letter in ASAP.  Ask for an update on when the away letter will be in.  If uploading a home letter, as your home program coordinator to email it to the program coordinators of the places you applied, cause they may not redownload apps from ERAS, but the PC can update your file more directly.

What are you calling "competitive"? and Why does it matter? Did you get invites at your ways that have announced and have you heard of your home program if they announced? If all of those programs have announced and you haven't heard from any of them sure you should be concerned otherwise. Relax.

If you have no invites by mid Oct, freak out, if you have a few right now and they werent u home or aways, relax, if you have none right now and u applied everywhere that sent out, still just wait, what else can you do? Stop asking people if they're miserable too, how will that help you?

Worst case scenario, you don't match and you get to take a year off to chill hard AF. Can't take this process too seriously fam

Should I be worried if a place I'm doing an October SubI didn't invite me for interview although they sent out invites recently?

Resident here.

100% this. It is WAY too early in the game to be freaking out right now. There is nothing you can or should do at this point. Invites will pick up in early October. If you’re still not getting ANY mid-October, it’s time to start asking for phone calls and emails to be sent while looking for red flags on your application.

Right now, just hold the course and focus on clinicals, research, drinking, studying for Step 2, or whatever you’d be doing right now anyway.

They probably want to see how you do. At the end of the subI, they will probably decide whether or not to interview you
