Dude don't beat yourself up. I have identical stats to you + a PhD and only have 8. There's a ton of regional and academic bias. I'm from the west coast and got all the top Cali/pacific northwest ones + Barrow, Michigan, other academic ones but got passed up everywhere else. A lot of the more academic places (UCSF, Penn, UW, etc.) haven't released yet. You'll be totally fine.

This is nonsense. Relax so many of the top programs are still outstanding. How many places did you apply to? Stop worrying about the number of interviews and more about the % of interviews.

1. You didn’t apply to many places, or haven’t applied to places that have released interviews.
2. Your letters are actually very weak and you didn’t make a good impression on your sub-I’s, either through personality or work ethic or ability.
3. There is a bright red flag somewhere in your personal statement, your MSPE, or your letters.

If all of what you’re saying about your stats is true, it breaks down to pretty much these 3 things. Take your pick.

1. You didn’t apply to many places, or haven’t applied to places that have released interviews.
2. Your letters are actually very weak and you didn’t make a good impression on your sub-I’s, either through personality or work ethic or ability.
3. There is a bright red flag somewhere in your personal statement, your MSPE, or your letters.
