I know nothing, and I'm sure Dr. Kalkanis and Dr. Lee are amazing surgeons, but can anyone explain to me why Dan Gilbert wouldn't choose to bring his son to some higher profile team of surgeons? I mean, he's a billionaire, he could probably go anywhere and get an appointment ASAP.

For those that have matched in previous years, just curious what number program you matched to on your rank list?

Hey everyone,
I didn't match but I'm determined to become a neurosurgeon. What programs offer prelim years that I could apply to? Are these through SOAP, or should I contact the program coordinator/director directly?
Thanks!

I have been getting mixed advice on trying to get in three subi's in a row v only two before ERAS is due. I want to get as much exposure as possible but also don't want to die. Any advice either for or against here? Thanks

Hey all,
I am just starting to look at VSAS now. I'm noticing that some of the places don't have available dates. Does this mean they are filled up?
Thanks.

Wanted to wish everyone good luck this week. I hope we all match and then proceed to match where we want to go!

Hey everyone,
I have a couple friends who went to the ortho annual meeting in new prleans, and they said it was a great opportunity to make connections with PDs and learn more about their field. I was wondering if the AANS meeting this year has a student section or a networking event during the 4 days that continues, and if there’s any point of students going if they don’t need have research to present. Thanks!

| Two week rotations? |

I’ve noticed that some programs give the option of rotating for two weeks rather than the customary four.
Is there anyone that can speak from experience on the pros and cons of a two week rotation? Is it something that is generally frowned upon by most programs?
