Such a ridiculous system. Why don't programs create a rank list of the students they'd most like to interview and then send out exactly the same number of invitations as they have spots? If someone doesn't take a spot you can just send more invites.
That way programs are actually interviewing who they most want to, instead of who checks their email faster.
I received my interview invite much later than when first posted on here so I don’t think they gave out more interviews than spots. Should receive confirmation by tomorrow.
Try to have some understanding, they are working normal jobs and sifting through all our emails. 24hr turn around is very fair imo.
