Does anyone know from prior years if a second wave comes once all first rounds are out as people shuffle interview dates? Or do they just kind of continue to trickle through out the rest of the season?

The interview date shuffle doesn’t really happen as much for the top 30 programs as it does for the mid to low tier programs. As people start pruning their lists for the desirable spots, you’ll hear back from some places. Otherwise expect that barring some twist of fate, if you haven’t heard from the BWHs and Dukes of the world that it’s a done deal. This year seems to be especially weird in that your interviews came out very early (especially barrow) and the overall number of interviews that people on this site are claiming seems to be lower than last year when I matched. Also sounds like sub-is getting automatic interviews is going away. I know my institution is thinking about doing the same thing. |
