Ugh, I'm so genuinely sorry. The PD's I know said they rarely look at apps if it's not turned in the first day. Hopefully that's not the case for those 5. :/

How? Most of these programs don't even send out interviews until October.
Like it's an easy way to weed people out. Just repeating what I've been told.

I have also heard sometime similar, as in do everything in your power to have your app in on time. But I know of a few really competitive applicants who just couldn't get that 3rd letter in on time ( did a Sub-I with them) and were considered "complete" a few days ago. I mean programs won't really pass up on a strong candidate that easily, but definitely does hurt your chances.
