Does anyone know more details about the Endovascular fellowships in FL?
Mainly I'm looking to know more about UF-Gainesville, Miami and USF-Tampa.
If anyone knows more I'd like to know about case loads, moonlighting options, hands-on/off experience, overall experience.
Thank you guys! Stay strong!

Hi everyone,
Engineer here. Applying to neurosurgery programs this coming year, always have had a strong interest in being involved in device development/etc. as compared to traditional basic science endeavors. What programs are more open to this approach during research years?
I know Stanford has Biodesign. Any others that can help their residents with this path?

Does anyone have any suggestions for how to succeed during intern year?
Any systems you use to keep track of data for rounds, and for keeping track of tasks to follow up on throughout the day?
What skills should I be expected to have by the end of intern year with regards to H&P and reading imaging for consults, management of floor and ICU issues, bedside procedures, OR skills, etc.?
Any lifestyle modifications like most comfortable shoes, pens, meal prepping, etc. also welcome.

What are your experiences (pros/cons) with night float compared to overnight call? Overall which do you prefer?

Hello,
Am currently in another surgical specialty and wanting to switch into neurosurg. Does anyone know of any open/opening PGY-1 spots (i.e. interns quitting/switching)?
Thx

Congrats to everyone who matched this past cycle! Looking forward to crushing this application season with y'all.
Just thought I'd start a thread to be a central hub for support/conversations/questions/etc for the year ahead of us since I'm sure it'll be a complicated and stressful one. Hoping to keep this thread as positive as possible - good vibes only.
Pretty pumped to start prepping for sub-i's. Will be nice to finally study material in our field of choice. What have y'all been using to prep?

Curious to see people's thoughts on great places to live, given that residency is 7 years long.
Duke - Durham: Boring, nothing going on
U Mich - Ann Arbor - College town, nothing else going on
Both great and cheap to raise a family though.

Is UCSF expected to become less malignant now that Chang is in charge?
How quickly does program culture change when there’s a change in department chair?
