Hey everyone,
I'm the PGY2 neurosurgery resident at Carolinas Medical Center. I wanted to share a new scholarship we have just started to provide financial assistance for applicants from underrepresented backgrounds during their sub-internships with CMC. Sub-internships can be a costly experience, and I personally benefitted from a similar program during my application phase, so I am very excited that we are able to provide this opportunity.

What’s the consensus on missing time during aways to present at a conference like CNS? Seems like it’s not worth the risk but would like to hear what others think.

It looks like GW med isn’t allowing med students to travel. I’m sure more med schools will pull the trigger in the coming weeks.. what implications will this have for away rotations and the upcoming cycle?
