What are the good osteopathic residency programs? Looking for a program that takes both MDs and DOs. 

Do patients really care about being a DO physician? Any DO neurosurgeon, I would really like to get your perspective.

What to expect in fellowship interviews? Are hotels/flights provided or I have to pay for these? Any recommendations?

So I'm a DO student. My dad is an attending dr (clinical oncology) and is close friends with some ENT guys including the PD, at a small program. How much do connections help? Do you think they would "slip" me in? 

I know that DO guys have a reputation for being stupid and slow, which is somewhat true. But I have some good research experience. 1st year med student and want to plan this out.

Hello all, just heard I didn't get elected to the YNC and am a little disappointed. Can anyone comment on how useful these committees are towards careers, especially in academics?

Are we just all going to apply to every program??? In my case, even though I have good stats and AOA/pubs etc then I can’t get over the fact that many kids who applied nsgy from my school did not  match last year. Can I get away with only applying like 60 places with step 270+, many pubs and good grades?? I listen to the nsgy podcast and one of the episodes a PD says all this quantitative stuff is only like 25% of the consideration which is fine but makes me feel like Everyone should apply to every single program no matter how competitive they feel I guess. Any thoughts??

not against becoming a competent surgeon, just that i want to do lots of research and actually make a big difference in the field. i have lots of research experience in the past and i am doing research in machine learning now in med school. experience in  programming and bench molecular.

can we count undergrad posters / presentations as even if they were back in 2014? what about conference presentations (while in med school) that were presented by someone else?
