| Signing letter of intent? |

In the job search now and curious if signing a letter of intent would carry any legal risk? Is it fine to continue interviewing at other places after signing a letter of intent at one place? One of the places I interviewed at has been pushing to sign the letter of intent ASAP and I have not finished all my interviews yet.
Lastly, when do you start negotiating the contract/final deal? after signing the letter of intent or you have to negotiate the letter of intent itself?

M4. Sub-I's lined up this summer, taking 2CK soon.
If I'm not confident I can score 240-245+ based on practice tests, is it worth delaying the test + taking a research year? If so, should scheduled Sub-I's be completed this year or done the following year?
What score would you strongly consider taking a research/gap year?
At a high tier MD school, decent number of clinical papers and decent clinical grades, willing to go anywhere.
thanks
