| Joint letters from faculty after a sub-I |

Would it be a good idea during a sub-I to ask for a joint letter from 2 faculty members (non-PD, non-chair, but senior and highly regarded faculty) if you feel like a letter from just 1 of them would be too bland? Reason for not asking PD or chair is that just didn't click with them as much as with the 2 mentioned faculty, feel like their letter wouldn't be as strong in substance.

Has anyone who's done a sub-I here able to compare it to other sub-I's? What your experience has been, what you were looking for, how it matches up to your experience, etc.?

Has anybody who's done a sub-I with UNC Chapel Hill, has interviewed there, or is currently there speak to either the sub-I experience or the feel of the residency there?

Hey guys,
MS3 here. I’m planning on taking a gap year to do some research but I don’t have a home program. Are there research programs in place at high powered academic centers I can apply into? Any advice on how to get started?

Hello. MS1 here.
I hope to do research with a NS. He told me to do a presentation for him. However, they keep on putting back the date. They never offer an explanation, only tell me a later date. So it got pushed back like 3 times already.
Is this a bad sign? Does it mean that they don't want to work with me? Or is this the usual thing? He said he was impressed by my resume, but I don't know if that was to be polite or not.
Thank you all so much

| “Persuasion” Violations or Nah |

Reading the NRMP match rules and realizing a lot of what I thought was pretty normal questions seem to be violations of the “Restrictions on Persuasion” part of the rules.
Examples. I’ve had programs ask
- how many interviews completed/how far into the interview season I am… seems benign
- how many interviews I received… ehh questionable
- what geographic regions of programs applied/received interviews… benign to me, but apparently not allowed per rules
- what places have I interviewed, I clarified “name them?” Response “yes, what programs” definitely seems inappropriate and is actually a violation apparently
Anyone else getting these sort of questions?

Absolutely loved my UW interview, but there wasn't a ton of talk about the call schedule/lifestyle which sounds like the only draw back from this program.
Would anyone be able to give some input about what the typical days/weeks of the junior residents looks like?
Thanks
