| About to graduate from a malignant program |

I’m 6 months out from graduating from an extremely malignant program. I have a great fellowship lined up, and soon will never have to think of these people again. I honestly despise 3/4ths of my attendings (bad people doing unindicated surgeries and constantly lying).
I really, really, really want to let them know how I feel about them at graduation. My initial thought was not to go, but my wife insists I attend. If I’m honest, is there anything they can do to me? If I don’t go to graduation, is there anything they can do to me?

Hey guys what do you think would be the new cut off for step 2ck interviews, in the upcoming years with the pass fail step 1. I have a 260 how do I stand? Of course I have like 50+ publications. No rudeness just a simple question

I have an unsolvable interview scheduling conflict and have to let go of one of these programs. Help me decide which. On the surface I like all three and would have absolutely kept them all if it was possible.
Wash U St. Louis
Michigan
Brigham
Can I get some highlights, pros/cons, anything/everything on the table on the program and the city etc

MD/PhD student who received a poor step 1 score (~ 200s) but published two high impact first author papers (IF: 32, IF:20) and ~30 second or middle author papers. Received small research grants. Invested some time into neurosurgery research in MS1 and MS2 and published ~15 neurosurgery papers.
Applying 2022-2023. Worth to give a shot?

| How many cases each year? |

I’m curious how many cases we should be logging in each year of residency. If the average resident who doesn’t do a year of endovascular is hitting 1200-2000 cases depending on the program and area of interest, how many cases should that translate into every year of residency? I want to make sure I’m not falling behind

According to the interactive charting outcomes for neurosurgery, in the last 5 years for US MD neurosurgery applicants there has only been 1 person to ever not match with more than 25 ranks. This person was 250+ on step1 and 2, AOA, 15+ pubs but no PhD, and applied in 2019 from what I can tell with the filters. How did this guy fuck up so royally, have such great stats and so many interviews but not match????? Is there a story with this guy that anyone knows because it keeps me up at night lol. Does anyone remember someone in 2019 who was a superstar and was everywhere but somehow fucked up this badly??
